The Climate Crisis: Between Hope and Despair

I had the great the pleasure of giving a plenary talk at the 100% Climate Neutrality Conference 2026 in Sønderborg at the University of Southern Denmark. I talked about the challenges, the Problem, the Solutions, and the Road Ahead. My short poll on how people view the world (Slide 2) was interesting. Older people seem more optimistic about the future than the students. Hardly surprising, but rather concerning.

The University of Southern Denmark features a very nice Concert Hall and is located right next to the Baltic Sea. Here are some impressions.

  1. Dear Henrik,
    your Sønderborg lecture is really very well done – it is clear for both seniors and students. In the past I have translated and published (with your approval) some of your blogs. This time I am thinking about producing a Slovak translation of your presentation slightly modified from PPT format to a brochure format. I would take care of the technicalities and distribution. However, it would need to add few words for the readers, which you had certainly added as a comentary during presentation.
    What do you think about my proposal?
